Also, I can only review stories that I have completed. I used to do lessons on weekdays and get 5 crowns, then on weekends do stories and reviews. I much prefer the lessons and stories separate. All of your progress has been preserved in the path. We wanted to make review feel essential to forward progress, rather than the old home screen which forced you to “go back” to older lessons. Practice is built into the path to ensure you’re regularly reviewing material.
The new path ensures you’re learning a mix of concepts in a specific order, which we’ve previously said is the recommended way to learn.
Our teams have worked hard over the last few months developing this new learning path and we truly believe it’s best for all learners. Duolingo’s redesigned homepage has rolled out to a wider audience, and we’re starting to hear from more learners.
